With API Tokens you can do just that. An API Token is a key or bearer token that grants external users different levels of permission to access the Cotalker API. With API Tokens, guests can get limited access to company data, they can read and send messages in channels, and bots can be used to impersonate other users.

With our new automation log you can find everything you need to know about your routines. It's a perfect tool for helping implementors test, create, manage, and debug routines in workflows, bots, schedules, and SLAs. Logs are accessible through the Administrative Panel and are also present anywhere a routine builder can be found.

Giving permission has always been a problematic task. For this reason, we have re-arranged our default permissions by categories and hierarchy, making it simpler to assign them in access roles while intensifying security at the same time. Check out our new permissions, read their descriptions, look at the new permissions tree, and discover which ones will be deprecated.

It's always good to have an old friend around. That's why we have now implemented bot versions! We have a small army of predefined system bots that are used as stage types in routines. And every once in a while, we tweak the bots extending functions and improving automations. But, because your existing routines might not work with newer versions, you can keep the old ones around just in case. 🤖

Good things are meant to be shared. That's why we've now implemented survey sharing outside the Cotalker environment. By simply sharing the link, anybody can now start a workflow or create a task. For example, through a shared link, customers who recur for support can fill out a form with their issue and automatically create a Cotalker task that would act as a support ticket. We call this feature a public survey.

You can never be too careful... But now, you can relax a bit because uploaded files are now digitally signed for some extra security. Running completely in the back-end, this new feature checks user authentication before allowing users to view files for 15 minutes, after which they would have to request the file again. This new feature update also includes improvement in the file structure and switching from a synchronous to an asynchronous upload operation. More updates soon to come!

Surveys are great, and they just got better! Users can now answer questions with the help of tree collections. Select a general answer which will lead you to a more specific category. For example, a question configured to specify a location can start by asking for country, then region, and finally city.

In our ongoing effort to improve our GUI to make your life a little bit simpler, we have now added a new Actions button that floats near the bottom of the channels panel. The new button is an improvement to the "add channel" icon we had at the top of the channels panel. With the now more visible and easy to access Actions button, not only can users create new channels, but they can also open links, access different sections of the app, answer surveys, and even create tasks. It can be quite hard remembering the names of all the elements you have to work with within Cotalker. For that reason, we have now implemented an automatic dropdown menu search when you need to add names in a data field. Just type the first letters of the word you're looking for, and the dropdown menu will show the first names it retrieved from the database. Didn't find what you were looking for? Customizing your Database is an ongoing project. And because you're also always on the go, we've now improved our mobile app's design. A new save button has been added to the Database section so that you can save changes from your mobile device.
