Elements (Properties)
List of elements within a collection; create and edit elements.
Accessing the Elements Panel
To access the Elements Panel:

- Go to the Collections Panel.
- Select the list icon of the collection containing the elements you wish to view.
- The Elements Panel will open up displaying all the elements within the collection.
Elements Panel Layout
Once the Elements Panel opens up, you will see a list of all the elements within the collection. From here, you can view, create, and edit elements.
Example of a collection of cities:

Options:
- 1. Create an Element: Creates a new element within the collection.
- 2. Find an Element: Searches for an element within the collection.
- 3. Disabled Elements: Opens the elements panel displaying disabled elements within the collection.
Table:
- A. Name: Element's display name.
- B. Code: Element's code name.
- C. # subelements: Element's amount of child elements.
- D. Last modified: Last time the element was edited.
- E. Actions: Opens the element's settings panel for editing.
- a, b, c: Sub-elements.
Create an Element
From within the Elements Panel, you can create a new element by pressing the + icon.

The following Create settings panel opens up:

Options:
- 1. Closes the settings window.
- 2. Saves the element with the current settings.
Settings:
- A. General information: Basic element information and associated child elements.
- B. Additional fields: Set or edit additional field values.
- C. Associated surveys: This field is empty until the element is saved and associated with a survey.
Edit an Element
From within the Elements Panel, you can edit an existing element by pressing the corresponding icon.

The asset viewer opens up when you choose to edit an element:
The asset viewer gives admins and non-administrative users access to element information and tools in one place.

In summary, from the asset viewer, you can:
Other actions:
- D. Close: Closes the settings panel without saving changes. Clicking outside the asset window will also bring you back to the database viewer.
- E. Deactivate/Activate: Makes the element available or unavailable in the collection.
- F. Save: Saves the element with the latest changes made.
- The asset viewer can be accessed through the Elements settings panel or the Database viewer.
- Reports & actions can only be created or edited when accessed through the Elements settings panel.
- Assets are no longer available once deactivated. Only a user with access to the Administrative Panel can reactivate the asset.
